Gortex rocks! I've been looking for a pair of all-purpose hiking/cross-training shoes that were waterproof, but comfortable. These are the shoes. They are made with Gore-Tex so they keep the water out. However, I recommend putting a few coats of waterproofing spray to extend the life of the shoe. On a side note, I usually wear a 7 1/2 M so I ordered a 7 1/2 M...they fit perfect. These shoes are in the stores for 0 right now, so anything less than that is a steal!
sizing I am at a loss. Am a 9.5-10 usually, so I ordered an 11! Way too big. Perhaps they do run true to size, and not what description says...
