The Nixon Rover Watch is built on the idea Nixon pioneered: a watch doesn’t have to be all steel to be stylish and doesn’t have to be all rubber to be sporty. The Rover is a go-anywhere sport watch with a night light and Nixon's uniquely comfortable polyurethane/steel band. The polyurethane is positioned on the outside of the link to allow the band to twist and compress if you find yourself using your hands to break a fall, clip a draw on a lead climb, or ward off an angry mob of paparazzi. The center of the link is made of solid stainless steel to ensure the Rover won’t leave your wrist involuntarily. AVAILABLE FOR US SHIPMENT ONLY.

Nixon Rover This watch has rockstar qualities, but only in the appearance. Its potential to take abuse is slim to none. The band came appart on my watch about 3 months after I had bought it. One of the knobs has fallen off of it recently (the one that adjusts the time and date). I have now owned the watch for about 9 months and have to send it back to get repaired once again. When I sent it back the first time to get the band fixed, the rep that took my order had entered the wrong type of watch that I was sending them. Luckily I had called to confirm my repair order and that's when I found out that they had the wrong watch in the order. Bad customer service. I would've been screwed if I hadn't followed up. I was still w/out a watch for two weeks. Nobody likes to go without a watch once they're used to having one all the time, and especially if you pay more than 0 for it. I would look at other watches if I were you...unless you like to deal with watch problems about every 3 or 4 months. BTW, I am a college student, so it's not like the watch gets a whole lot of abuse sitting at my desk studying or under my glove snowboarding in the backcountry. Nixon sucks! don't waste your money. they might put on some good rail jam comps, but that's about it.
Nixon Rover is a poser watch I wanted to pass on some info and my experiences with my Nixon Rover. I was wearing windsurfing Maui at Kanaha, and fell, not a face plant, but a nice, slow motion fall. Up I came and I was bummed to see no more Rover. The plastic band streched over the stainless link. I guess I should have known, the plastic link was obviously not very strong. I think the Rover should be marketed as a dress / poser watch instead of a watch for watersports or

Training Tips
Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.

If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
