Nike Timing Oregon Series Digital Watch

The Nike Timing Oregon Series Digital watch is a fully featured digital sports watch. The Oregon Digital is a simple, bomber watch for running, training, or casual wear. A 100-hour chronograph is set up for interval training, and lets you recall data to see how you're improving. The Digital is waterproof to 100m, so you can use it in pool workouts as well as on the track. Several alarms for time and hydration keep you moving at race pace. The Oregon's strap and body will stand up to any abuse you can dish out. Get the Regular, for a more compact watch, or the Super to go big.

Great Customer service
The watch is just what I needed. That I was able to return my original order for a watch with a longer band and have the new one delivered within two days is remarkable.

Solid w/ good features, alarms very quiet
I've only had mine for 1 week, but I've had other Nike watches, so the features are similar. One feature I hadn't seen before is a battery-saver mode, where you can tell it to turn off the display after 1, 6 or 12 hours or never. I set it to 6, which seeems like a good balance. The strap and buckle are pretty comfortable, buttons are easy to press w/o hitting them accidentally. One strange feature is the H2O alarm, which the manual doesn't explain at all. It seems to be another interval timer. I'm hoping this watch face and body are more scratch-proof than my last Nike watch, which discolored quickly. I'm hoping the black plastic and silver metal body will show scratches less. Overall I'd say this was a good solid watch, especially if you can find it discounted. Of course, I paid list price...

Training Tips

Your fitness level will improve by overloading, working your body hard enough to stimulate the body, progression, increasing the frequency, intensity, and duration of exercise over time, and regularity, working out frequently, at least three times a week.

As your fitness improves over time by following a carefully planned fitness program, your ability to exercise closer to your maximum heart rate will improve.

Did you know that to lose approximately one pound of fat, an average adult would have to walk 30 miles? You don't have to walk those 30 miles all at once.

If you consume 100 calories a day more than you need, you will gain about 10 pounds in a year.  A reasonable combination of diet and exercise can help control your weight.  The key is to balance your caloric intake with the amount of exercise.
