Salomon F22 Snowboard Boot - Women's

Salomon's Fusion series gives superior fit and sensitivity by incorporating the "minus 1" liner that greatly cuts down on materials, making for a smaller overall boot sole length. New for this year, the boot features a leather/Alium webbing for the perfect blend of flex and feel. This boot gives serious foot-to-board-to-snow feel, more so than any boot that has come before it. Salomon's F22 is meant for the advanced intermediate to expert rider that looks for more sensitivity and feel. The F22 uses industry-leading technology that really makes a difference, like the new Fusion contact sole and Power Lacing with easy Quick unlace. What impresses us most, though, is how the boots aren't much bigger than street shoes!

best fit
These snowboard boots are the best fitting women's boots I have ever owned. I was hesitant to buy them at the beginning of the season because of the price tag, but I picked them up as soon as they went on sale. What a deal! I am thinking about purchasing a backup pair for when these bite the dust down the road.

Dream boots!
These boots are soooo comfy! They are lighter than other boots so you don't feel like you're dragging your feet. I don't mind at all that I cannot take the innerboot out, as I just air (and sometimes lysol) them thoroughly. I like the lace mechanism because it's faster, but it might not hold the laces as tight as long as the "traditional" lacing system. I chose these over the F20 model because of the color and material. They look good and are easy to clean.

a great boot, but not perfect
The multiple straps make for a great, comfortable fit, and the boot is definitely of high quality. Though they have clips and pockets to stow away the adjustment straps, they often seem to fly out and the shoelaces in particular are taking a beating. I've figured out how to clip them in more securely now, but if there was any improvement to be made to this great boot that would be it.

Training Tips

After each interval, take your pulse rate by counting the number of beats at your wrist or neck for 15 seconds.  Multiply that result by four to get your beats per minute.  Your next interval should start before your heart rate is less than 60% of your maximum.

The four components of good fitness include flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and cardiorespiratory endurance.  For optimum health, include at least two of these groups in three workouts per week.

Your fitness level will improve by overloading, working your body hard enough to stimulate the body, progression, increasing the frequency, intensity, and duration of exercise over time, and regularity, working out frequently, at least three times a week.

As your fitness improves over time by following a carefully planned fitness program, your ability to exercise closer to your maximum heart rate will improve.
