Forum Recon Boa Snowboard Boot - Mens

The Forum Recon Boa snowboard boot puts the latest technology to use in a boot for all riders. The Boa system eliminates messing with laces, and can even tighten and loosen your boots on the fly while riding the chair lift or hiking to you favorite powder stash. Shock-absorbing EVA makes up the sculpted tongue for foot-forming support. The laces on Forum's Choice liner secure your heel and ankle to eliminate heel lift and provide increased control. The FD2 footbed cradles your foot while the EVA midsole absorbs the toe-numbing vibrations from hard snow and ice. Complete with a rubber outsole and synthetic leather upper, for durability and weather proofing, the recon enjoys a soft flex with enough cushioning to bring every snowboarder the newest in boot design.

Recon Boa Boot Forum
Pretty good boot if you want the adjustability and quick in and out. however, fitment is key because if you go a little too big on size the wire will bind up not giving you the tight hold and fitment like you want. Very good product but just make sure you get the right size, it may take one or two tries if you aren't sure on it because not every mold for every boot is the same ..

Recon Boa - Best Boots I've Ever Bought
These boots are awesome. They tighten perfectly; only difficulty is the amount of time it takes to tighten them, but it is still no longer than tying laces. I could not be happier. I've used DCs in the past and these are way better. I'd say they're a best buy if youre looking for good boots at a cheap price - Get These!

very good boots
I will never use lace up boots again. These are the best snowboard boots you can get. In and out in seconds. Good fit and great price. Thanks, Chris

Try Northwave or 32s instead...
As someone once described it, "you're no better off strapping the box to your foot..." I would suggest looking at Northwave or 32 boots. I returned these boots due to lack of quality and a good, comfortable fit.

Training Tips

If you consume 100 calories a day more than you need, you will gain about 10 pounds in a year.  A reasonable combination of diet and exercise can help control your weight.  The key is to balance your caloric intake with the amount of exercise.

You can increase your maximum oxygen consumption by approximately 15% when you work out three times a week for at least 30 minutes at 70% of your maximum heart rate.

Low weight, high rep circuit training combines the best of both worlds: aerobic and anaerobic training.  Keeping the rest time in between high repeats low excercises like bench press, leg presses, inclined sit-ups, and upright rows is the key to maximum benefits.

As a long distance runner, a gradual increase in distance each week will allow you to build a solid areobic base.  Distance increase should be no more than 10% of the previous week's distance.
