By building the SL-7 around its own shell last, Burton reduces the overall footprint of the boot to minimize toe and heel drag without affecting the superior fit. The super lightweight, low-profile outsole incorporates a hidden midsole to provide a lowered center of gravity, enhanced board feel and efficient power transfer. The articulating cuff design allows the shell’s upper and lower halves to flex independently, creating fluid forward flex, that makes the SL-7 as comfortable in the park as it is in the backcountry. Unbelievably light and very supportive - this is no flimsy light boot. Wild carbon fiber look shell is way cool. The best feature is the size of it's footprint; barely bigger than your street shoe size - a huge factor for guys with bigger feet. Killer boot!
Nothing Better Than Tux Shoe Boots
These things are the lightest and most supportive (for their weight) on the market. Burton has really stepped it up this year with both their boots and their bindings. Their boots have gotten nothing but lighter and stiffer, which if you are like me and enjoy feeling like the board is welded to the bottom of your feet there is nothing better. My set up is all Burton, anything that is important or touches the ground is made by them. Board, boots, bindings. Make the right decision, go Burton.

My first pair of boots were so uncomfortable that after 5 days I had written them off and went straight to the local shop to try on some alternatives. Tried on every boot in the shop. Although I liked the Salamon F series boots which offer similar dimensions, the SL-7 felt like slippers by comparison. First day ridding with these puppies made me realise that a little bit more expenditure buys you a lot more. Comfort, Technology and Style, all important factors on and off piste. THE DADDY OF BOOTS. Outstanding Boot!!!
I have tried several boots but the SL-7 is by far the best boot I've ever worn. The comfort level is amazing. It feels supportive but it’s very comfortable like a skate shoe. The liner is very warm, and doesn't shift when you ride. I'd recommend this boot to anyone that wants to take their riding to the next level.
Best boots I've ever owned
I've been through 3 other pairs of boots and these SL-7's are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. If you have the $ and you want a pair of boots that will last you several years splurge on Burton, you won't be sorry. I did notice that their sizes seem to run a tad small. Not a good thing when you are ordering over the internet and cannot physically try them on before you buy. I happened to try on a pair in my local surf/skate/board shop and that is how I knew to order 13's instead of 12's. But, research is always your best bet when purchasing anything online. Enjoy!

Training Tips
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
One of the most mentally toughening things you can do as a runner who trains daily is to add a morning run into your routine. This means you are doing two runs a day. The morning run is simply more of a mental challenge then anything else.
Have two pairs of running shoes, especially if you live in a wet climate. Consider replacing your shoes no later than 500 miles into the life of the shoes.
