Burton Ion Snowboard Boot - Mens
The Burton Ion snowboard boot is a result of years of research and development. The Ion fuses powerful performance into the most advanced snowboard boot on the planet. Built around a durable, full synthetic leather shell with full-length backstay, the Ion offers explosive response and moderate flex for all-terrain freestyle outlaws like Ross Powers, Jussi and Japanese prodigy Kazu Kokubo. Clean on styling, but filthy rich on function, the ultralight Ion features the all-new Speed Zone lacing. This innovative lacing system is designed so that you can independently tighten the upper and lower halves of the boot for a custom fit unlike any other. To increase snow sensitivity, Burton engineered an all-new, ultra-light outsole to transfer maximum board feel to your feet.--Vendor

comfortable and well thought out With the heat-moldable inserts, these are the most comfortable paid of boots I’ve ever owned. I was skeptical of the lacing system at first, but after a few day’s use, it proves itself. No more battling with frozen fingers trying to tie knots, just yank on the strings and you’re set. They could have made the pull tabs a bit bigger and a bit stiffer; they cut into your fingers a little when you’re really pulling. They also could have color coded the upper and lower laces to make it a real no-brainer. But overall, a great boot. I’d like to give it a 4.75, but you can’t, so I’ll round up.
Great boot I like the Ion boot for a couple of reasons. They keep my feet warm in any temp, but not so much as to soak them with sweat. They are super light compared to any other boot I have used.
Sweet boots These boots are very nice. Support is awesome, great cushioning, and they look good too. The speed lacing is really nice and quick and stays tight all day.
AWESOME The Ion boot is the most comfortable boots I have ever tried (including many Salomons, 32, DC, etc.) Very very convenient and stylish.
Sick Butta! Sickest most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn. Been through 4 pairs of boots from various companies, these are the best by far. Light, feet never get cold, speed lace system allows you to get in/out quicker than a teenager, and they fit like a glove into the Burton c-60 bindings. So get the boots, go to Brighton, pop in some MF Doom, and you'll be pullin 5's in no time.

Training Tips
When buying a new pair of running shoes, bring your old ones with you. You will get a better fit if you know if you supinate or pronate.
Heart monitors are useful for knowing when you are in the right zone for your training efforts. If you understand what your maximum heart rate is, you can set up your monitor to beep at you when you exceed the high or low range of your heart rate for the type of workout you are doing.

Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising. If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.
Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
