torso too short, and is that black?!
I am amazed on how light and warm this jacket is. However, when I receive the real jacket it looks totally different then the picture on the site. The body of the jacket looks green instead of black to me, and the torso part is just too short! I am 6'1" and weight 200 lbs and I believe this is for slimmer person. The long sleeves give you mobility but pair w/ the rather short torso it looks kind of funny. I will give it a five is the torso is a bit longer. :(

was expecting more...
I fell in love with this jacket when I saw the picture of it, but when I got it I noticed that it's more of a black and gray jacket than a black jacket. The inside material isn't very soft to the touch, and the arms are pretty long, although I found it to be a good fit. I really dont think that it was worth 5 so I'm going to return it and get the Quantum Nuptse and the Flight Fleece Jacket.

Windstopper Hybrid rules!
This technical jacket is totally amazing - it cuts out the chill without all the bulk you find in most WindStopper pieces. It has great stretch for mobility when climbing or skiing and the sleeves don't ride up your arm when reaching overhead - one of the best alpine climbing jackets ever made and it looks great around town too. I get compliments on this unique looking jacket everywhere I go.

too short
I regret not taking the advice of the previous review. The jacket is WAY too short for a tall slim guy.

Strange looking with long sleeves
I cannot speak to the functionality of the jacket, as I am sure that it works well. The fabric is thin and stretchy; it has the consistency that I was looking for. Yet, the unconventional appearance and long sleeves have convinced me to return the item. I would probably wear it a few times and then wonder why I purchased it in the first place. The jacket looks stellar on-line, but in real life, the diamond textured fabric is a bit strange looking.

Training Tips

As a long distance runner, a gradual increase in distance each week will allow you to build a solid areobic base.  Distance increase should be no more than 10% of the previous week's distance.

When buying a new pair of running shoes, bring your old ones with you.  You will get a better fit if you know if you supinate or pronate.

Heart monitors are useful for knowing when you are in the right zone for your training efforts.  If you understand what your maximum heart rate is, you can set up your monitor to beep at you when you exceed the high or low range of your heart rate for the type of workout you are doing.

Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising.  If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.
