The North Face Pamir WindStopper Fleece Jacket - Men's
The North Face Pamir Jacket is a windproof fleece jacket that's lightweight and warm. A biting wind threatens your mountain hike, summit push or your home game watching, but with the protective warmth of the Pamir Jacket, there's no need to come in from the cold. The North Face's windproof fleece is designed for trekking and backpacking and the gridiron in cold, windy conditions. WindStopper E Fleece fabric is twice as warm in a 20 mph wind than traditional 200 weight fleece yet offers 4-way stretch for extended range of motion. Apex Weatherblock stretch overlays on the collar, shoulders, and elbows protect from abrasion from your gear, pack or tumble. Tuck your hands in the zip, tricot-lined pockets, pull the single-hand elastic drawcord and zip your jacket into one of TNF's shells to seal out the elements.

incredibly warm For a lightweight jacket, the pamir windstopper is incredibly warm. I gave it a test run on a windy 30 degree day on a three hour hike, and stayed comfortable. It has become one of my favorite jackets.
Awsome Jacket Funny, I couldn't find this jacket at the North Face store in Chicago (in my size) but found it here. Great fleece, roomy, functional, warm and easily washable. North Face makes good stuff, worth the $$ if you can see beyond the current popularity of North Face as a bit of a status symbol. Buy it for the functionality, quality and for fun, the looks !! A good investment.
Good stuff This windstopper jacket is good, although it wouldn't hurt if it was made of a bit thicker fleece.
great jacket My son wears this jacket all the time and says it is very warm. The wind stopper does the trick.
Awesome jacket Currently I live in the Azores islands off the coast of Portugal, where wind speeds reach 90+ mph in winter. The windstopper fleece is thin buts keeps me warmer than thicker fleece in these conditions. The only drawback is that it's stiffer than regular fleece, and the jacket is roomy for a size L. My Salathe is also an L but fits me better and is much softer. I would certainly recommend the Pamir if you're going to be in the wind.

Training Tips
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.

An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
One of the most mentally toughening things you can do as a runner who trains daily is to add a morning run into your routine. This means you are doing two runs a day. The morning run is simply more of a mental challenge then anything else.
