The North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - Men's
More versatile than any other softshell The North Face makes, the Apex Bionic has a soft-brushed fleece lining to provide just the right amount of insulation for a cold hike or winter ski tour. Four-way stretch Apex Weatherblock fabric moves with your body so you can climb comfortably, and the Apex is water-resistant enough to keep your dry in light rain or snow. When you're really working hard to get some miles under your feet, the breathability of this jacket will absolutely amaze you. Protected from moisture on the inside and the outside, you'll never want to take off the Apex Bionic. *Please note: TNF outerwear tends to run a size larger than you might normally wear. Please consult the sizing chart to determine your proper TNF size.

Excellent Middle Layer Jacket is worth the investment, lightweight, breathable and warm. Only complaint, needs drawstring around waist. I believe newer versions have a drawstring.
Great Softshell (with minor caveats) Good-looking with a great cut, both functionally and aesthetically. Warm and windproof, super for cool temps and windy weather. Internal mesh and fleece are soft, light, toasty and comfy. BUT: - When things heat up, fleece gathers moisture, especially against bare arms; layer with a hi-tech base if you'll really be working out (another minor fleece annoyance is how it binds on a base layer when coming off) - External synthetic retains moisture after a time in rain or snow. Keep a hard shell handy if precipitation is pending - Could use a drawstring to keep out the cold from below All in all, a sweet North Face jacket for what it's made, and this at a killer price.
gotta get it. I have been very pleased with my apex bionic jacket. It is very versitile and was exactly what I was looking for. Completely windproof and moderately insulated, it is perfect for temps between 70-40 degrees Farenheight. It doesn't feel like wearing a jacket but more like you are wearing a close-fitting sweatshirt, it's very flexable and form fitting. A+ service and shipping from Backcountry.com as well.
Reviews dead-on... I don't have much to add to the other comments already under this item, but did wish to confirm their accuracy. Jacket is stylish, yet effective against wind and moisture. Very comfortable and sharp. No complaints so far, though I suspect it will get more heavy usage this fall and winter, and definitely next spring when I intend to ski in it on those warmer spring days!
Nice Jacket This is a light versatile jacket. The outer shell is really smooth and resists tearing or "fuzzing". The inner coat is very nice and warm. I recommend this jacket.
