The North Face Ama Dablam Stretch Infusion Jacket - Mens
The North Face Mens Ama Dablam Stretch Infusion Jacket offers incredible mobility and performance through its complete stretch fabric engineering. The North Face Men’s Ama Dablam Stretch Infusion Jacket offers incredible mobility and performance through its complete stretch fabric engineering. Massive 3-layer 4.3 Gore-Tex XCR, a huge step above the Gore-Tex of old, is lighter, softer, and more breathable. The thick fabric ensures years of use out of the Ama Dablam in mountains from the Tetons to the Andes. D-rings on the sleeves keep you from the potential disaster of losing gloves on exposed routes, and a fleecy chinguard makes zipper chafing a thing of the past. A more affordable cousin to the Fountainhead Stretch Infusion, the Ama Dablam has water-resistant zippers to keep snow and moisture at bay, while core vent pockets allow you to stay cool during extended efforts. A security zippered pocket inside the core vent pocket keeps your valuables safe, and an interior stretch water bottle pocket keeps hydration within easy reach.

AMA DABLAM!!!! This is the sickest jacket ever - it has it all going for it. Lightweight but full featured, just enough stretch - the Gore XCR Stretch is an amazing fabric - big front pockets vent well and allow you to store items and still vent - a unique zipper closes the mesh pockets/vents but keeps the opening, well, open! They easily hold skins or goggles or whatever. The hood works well with no blind spots, even over a helmet. This jacket will fully meet the demands of anyone whether they're at the resorts, in the backcountry, or doing the most technical mountaineering routes on earth.
Long Name, Great Jacket This is one of the best mountaineering/touring jacket out there. It's also light enough to use year round. The Gore-Tex is super soft and not noisy and stretches to assist in your goal. The new Infusion areas will help with durability in high use areas. This jacket has the longest name going but it is worthy of it.

Training Tips
Heart monitors are useful for knowing when you are in the right zone for your training efforts. If you understand what your maximum heart rate is, you can set up your monitor to beep at you when you exceed the high or low range of your heart rate for the type of workout you are doing.
Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising. If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.

Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
