The North Face Alpine Light Parka - Men's
In wet, windy winter storms, there's no substitute for Gore-Tex. The North Face Alpine Light Parka uses 2-layer Gore-Tex to give you the weatherproofing and breathability you need. The Alpine light's stowable hood and longer parka length let it withstand even the worst eastern storms. Pit zips give you ventilation for when things heat up, and zip-in integration lets you zip a fleece or down coat in for chilly days. When you're expecting weather, be ready for it with The North Face Alpine light parka.

Alpine Light Parka This is a very good parka; waterproof to the max and light weight, works great with a fleece under it. This is a great all around jacket with bomb proof construction and seams. I am going up Mt. Kilimanjaro next month; I will get back to you after that. Thanks and good hiking to all.
Great Parka. The North Face really stands for its products, i got some pretty bad storms while in vacation at my home town in Brazil and the Alpine Parka kept me super dry and warm (without the fleece) at high altitude winds and tempter around 15F. Just don’t try to hike with the Parka at tempters above 80F to protect from rain i tried and got myself all wet from inside (really wet).
Great value!!! It is definitely a storm-proof piece of protection that costs almost half as much as some of the leading competitors (Arcteryx). It may be not as light but it is just as waterproof and breathable w/ the core and armpit venting zippers. Plus it is only 0!!! Great deal!

Training Tips
Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.

If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
