Best Fall and Spring Layer The Marmot Evolution is perfect when there is a slight chill in the air. It does an amazing job wicking away moisture but is also very windproof. A wicking windproof garment did not exist until Gore-Tex invented this next to skin fabric. Give the chills the finger and get some Gore next to skin.
A must have! This windshirt/jacket weighs next to nothing, yet protects from the wind and keeps you warm and dry. I don't mean its waterproof; I mean it wicks really nicely. I've used it as a windshell and as a layer and on its own. Apart from a little abrasion under my chin when the zipper's all the way up, I've got nothing negative to say about it: even its styling is great! cheers, Alex W.

Marmot Evolution Half Zip The half-zip has proven great for those 30 degree mornings/evenings on the trail. It fits great around the shoulders, the collar zip up is great for the neck, and it looks good. Issues, albeit minor, are a small pocket would be nice somewhere, and a few threads are already loose on the left cuff on the one I bought. At 0, this kind of stuff matters, but I get over it on the trail.
Half zip wind blocker At first, I wasn't crazy about the material this shirt is made of. It has a papery feel (it almost crinkles when you first open the package) and is very thin. I was able to put it to good use on a cold blustery hike, and, as advertised, it performed great. It worked as a light weight but strong wind blocker and sheds light rain well.

Training Tips
The four components of good fitness include flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and cardiorespiratory endurance. For optimum health, include at least two of these groups in three workouts per week.
