The North Face Conness GTX Hiking Boot - Men's
The North Face Men's Conness GTX Hiking Boot fits a popular niche for those who split their time between day hikes and multi-day trips and only care to own one pair of trail shoes. The waterproof and breathable Conness GTX (yes, that stands for Gore-Tex) is suitable for three-to-five day backpacking trips while carrying loads up to 50 pounds. The North Face collaborated with Vibram (one of the most respected sole manufacturers in the world) to create a unique tread pattern for the Conness GTX, resulting in a grippy, super durable outsole that's sure to stand the test of time. An Outlast footbed provides superior temperature control—it absorbs excess heat, then releases it back to you to prevent chilling. Waterproof Nubuck leather and a Gore-Tex membrane provide total protection from the elements on the Coness' upper.

Great boots!!! I bought the boots one week before a big outing and wore them for only four days with minimal walking time to break them in. I was little worried when I began my 20 mile trek through the rough AZ rim country, but the boots performed beautifully. They never rubbed and caused not even a small hot spot, while my companions with older but well broken in boots both got small blisters on their big toes. The boot handled climbing very well, no slippage, and during multiple stream crossings my feet never got wet. The boots didn't slip on the mossy rocks, or when plunging through the water, they shed it like a duck. I highly recommend these boots. I am very satisfied with my purchase.
GTX hiking boot I broke the shoes in slowly over a few days with no problems. Just came back from 1st trip with 2 days of trail hiking, desert sand, rock scrambling, and water covered rock. Shoes performed beautifully. I am fully satisfied with the way they work and feel.
The North Face Conness GTX Hiking Boot Very comfortable. I mainly bought them for mountain bike riding without clips, but did use them to climb a nice ridge off trail. They did very well for a low top "boot". Good all around hiking shoe.
The North Face Conness GTX Hiking Boot review Hi, I'm Roberto, I'm living in Venezuela. I am working in a mine, where the environmental conditions are extremely varied. There's mud, humidity, vegetation, stones. I am in the middle of the jungle, and the only thing that I can say is that these boots support everything, have an excellent grip and great supportive footbeds and they are comfortable for long long walks. 10 points for The North Face backpacking boots.
Best boots that I ever owned! I purchased the Conness GTX Hiking Boot's a few weeks ago after owning another pair of TNF boots. I have found them to be the most comfortable and sturdy pair of boots that I have ever owned. I look forward to having many years of proud ownership! Another quality and affordable product from The North Face.

Training Tips
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.

An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
One of the most mentally toughening things you can do as a runner who trains daily is to add a morning run into your routine. This means you are doing two runs a day. The morning run is simply more of a mental challenge then anything else.
