impressive stabilizing effect
Montrail continues to live up to its fame: the integra-fit it designed comes into full play in these insoles. I have high arches and so often crave a bit more support from my shoes, but most companies don't accomodate for such high-volume feet as mine. These insoles solve the problem: with them in place, my heels are securely locked in position, arches well supported, and my feet feel similar comfort just like they are residing in Montrail shoes. Now I put the insoles in my dress shoes and trail shoes alike. One thing to keep in mind: they take up much of the volume of the shoe, so if your shoes are very close-fitting you'll feel some pinch with the insoles in there. But with the impressive degree of comfort they provide, I'm willing to buy future shoes up one size.

Montrail insoles
These insoles do serve their purpose of providing additionally stability, However, the use of the insoles after 30 minutes led to pain in the ball of my feet. There needs to be some type of padding in this area, but I suppose it would alter the purpose of the insoles. These insoles are not for everyone, especially if you have sensitive feet due to arthritis or other anatomical conditions. I trashed them.

Good Product
I use the insoles in Sebago Docksiders and they really add a lot of structure. They really make deck shoes more wearable for me. The only negative is the strong medicinal smell of the insoles. Need to keep the shoes in the bathroom or outside. Overall the insoles exceeded my expectations.

your feet will thank you
I have 0 custom-fit insoles due to a broken ankle I have had years ago. These insoles are a close second best, which I wear whenever I don't wear my custom ones (changing insoles is just a pain, and sometimes it's good for your foot to have to accommodate to a different sole). These insoles are great for feet with a high instep, stabilizing my feet even in Merrel Jungle Slides. Get them, cherish them and your feet will thank you for ever and ever.

Best I have ever spent
I have never had a custom footbed and now never will. The Montrail insole offers me the added support I need. I use my insoles in my running shoes but I hope to get a pair for every shoe I own.
