Chaco Z/2 Colorado Sandal - Mens
The Chaco Z/2 Colorado Men's Sandal is perhaps the most secure sandal on the planet. Its Colorado outsole is ideal for activities that demand an extra measure of slip-resistance and traction such as rafting, canyoneering, sailing, or any activity in or around water. The Z/2 strap configuration offers an adjustable toe loop that adds a measure of security to your foot, making them incredibly stable. Whether you're a river rat who needs a super grippy sandal or you just want a sturdy, great-looking pair of sandals that will last ages, the Z/2 Colorado is the way to go.

The only shoes you'll ever need! I bought these sandals as a replacement for my nine year old hand-me-down Teva terradactyl's. These sandals have WAY more foot support than my other sandals, and I love that I can throw them in the washing machine once a week- and they look marvelous! It took me a few days to get used to the toe-loop, but now I love it! At first it seemed as if the toe loop kept tightening itself as I walked-strangling my toe...but now it's perfect and I would recommend it to anyone. I wear these shoes almost every day...sometimes I diversify because my friends and family complain. I wear a size 10 women's usually and I would say these Men's sandals are perfect for me because I have wide womens feet.
I Love My Chacos I would give the Chaco Z2 five stars if I hadn’t tried the Chaco Z1. The Z2’s are everything that the Z1’s are, with the addition of a toe loop. The toe loop is especially helpful in wet conditions – it keeps your foot fixed firmly in place. The downside is a slight decrease in comfort – I love the unfettered feeling of the Z1. If you prefer a secure feeling, get the Z2.
What my Chaco's have done for me so far. I have to admit these sandal's are not the most inexpensive, but I have been surprised at their utility and durability. Since I bought them I have taken them to the streets of New York City, the prestigious halls of an Ivy League school in Cambridge, MA., and the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. In New York I broke them in by walking a good 10 miles in a couple of days. Although I did get a little bit of pain, I had zero blisters. Also they were accepted at most posh places as proper attire :). At the Ivy League school, which seems to be dominated by Reef Sandal users, I was complemented on my new sandals. This is when I proceded to educate them on how the vibram soles will help them prevent accidents by reducing the chance of slipping on beer. I was amazed by the grip of the soles while on the deck of my boat as we were going to SCUBA in Puerto Vallarta. Not only did they keep my feet from becoming fajitas in the hot sand, but they were great deck shoes too.
Nice sandals but very different All in all I would recommend these to anyone who wants a secure (doesn't move around on your foot) sandal. The toe loop took some getting used to as it tends to tighten up on you the more the day wears on. Also the footbed took some getting used to, and actually made my foot sore for the first few times I wore them....There are raised sections on the outside of the footbed, that I had to set the straps exactly to line up with my feet or they just plain hurt. Now however I wear them full time every weekend and love them.....just a lot different than my teva's
Forget Teva!!! I have owned several pairs of Tevas over the years and just recently received my first pair of Chacos. I couldn't believe the difference. I was a big Teva fan but not anymore. The comfort does not even compare. The support does not come close. These are by far and away the most comfortable river sandal I have ever owned. Get yourself a pair. Your feet will thank you.

Training Tips
Heart monitors are useful for knowing when you are in the right zone for your training efforts. If you understand what your maximum heart rate is, you can set up your monitor to beep at you when you exceed the high or low range of your heart rate for the type of workout you are doing.
Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising. If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.

Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
