I Finally Chose Chaco: No Brainer After enjoying the quality and fit of two pairs of Chaco's Chong model, I might have picked Chaco Z/1s without hesitation. As it was, I tried out Teva's Guide Pro (which I have loved in a previous incarnation) and Keen's H2 before I decided that Chaco still provides the durability, functionality and guarantee that I desire. One suggestion to those choosing Chaco: in demanding conditions I trust the Z/2 toe loop.
Not just for the beach anymore! You’d be surprised at how much you can do when you have a rugged pair of sandals that fit you well. Climbing isn’t a problem, hiking is a breeze, watersports are more enjoyable overall! The adjustable webbing on these thing is really great you can dial in a fit no matter what you plan on doing with them, and the sticky vibram rubber on the sole I swear never wears out! Great fitting functional sandals. If you want the added toe-lift from a toe loop check out the Z/2's To avoid a re-sizing problem trust me on this one…order ˝ a size smaller than other shoes.
Chacos in Hawaii I recently spent time on the Big Island of Hawaii, trekking mainly across vast expanses of cooled lava but also through rainforest and alpine environments. The sandals never left my feet, and never let me down. The traction even without the thicker Terrano outsole was amazing, holding my foot steady at all times, and allowed me once to even go for a medium-distance run across jagged lava rocks, forgoing the marked trail for a more interesting and challenging run. Great sandals for any occasion-- really.
Excellent sandal My friend has been recommending Chacos for months, and I finally decided to rely on her advice, and she was without doubt spot-on. These Chacos are durable, comfortable, and look understated but classy. One of the best footware experiences.
I Love My Chacos After a few disappointing experiences with another famous brand of sport-utility sandals, I felt that I knew exactly what would make up the perfect sandal: strong, durable, light, good traction, a design that would stay on my foot with the straps loose in casual settings and would not let go when cinched down in challenging situations, and no Velcro. The Chaco sandal is all that and more. The contoured footbed is a wonderful refinement. I’ve had mine for five years of hard service and they are holding up great. They stay on when swimming class 4 rapids or mucking through class 4 quicksand. I’ve done all-day hikes with them and even surfed with them. Super comfortable in every situation, and I can wear socks if my toes get chilly.

Training Tips
Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising. If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.
Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.

Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
