they aint just for runnin' yeah, these socks are the real deal. i can't remember wearing a more comfortable pair of socks in my life. they are outstanding at keeping your feet dry, which means not all sweaty in warm weather and not too chilly in cold weather. you can actually feel the difference between these and other socks the second you put them on. no more 8 packs of white tube socks for me ... i'm addicted to bridgedale.
3 pairs and counting Yes, they are really that good that people will rave about them. These have fast become my favorite gift to give to people, because it seems like a dorky gift until they start wearing them. They're really excellent for trail running, and good for hiking in low shoes. They don't really rise high enough for serious hiking or backpacking boots. If you spend all or a large part of your day on your feet, you need a pair.
Not just for trail running. These socks are so comfortable. I use them for just about everything that stresses my feet. Mainly hiking, trail running, and jogging but they are great for the long days at the zoo with the kids as well. Love em.
great performance I had a chance to really put these socks to the test on a 34 mile day hike a few weeks ago. These socks were wonderful. My feet were not even sore at the end of the day, and not even a blister to speak of. I will be wearing these socks on any hike that I don't wear boots from now on.
my socks match today. in length, not color. These socks are super sweet for running in almost any kind of weather or shoe. I've used them in my TNF Gore-Tex trail runners and they wick sweat even though Gore-Tex can't keep up and breathe fast enough. During fall, or when the weather's rainy, they keep my feet at the perfect temp. I use them in my Montrail Masais during summer and they're perfect. My feet stay cool in all but super, super hot weather. But I usually just sit in front of my TV drinking cheap beer when it's super hot, so it doesn't really bother me.

Training Tips
For runners looking to get the maximum benefit from hill training, as you sprint to the top of the hill have your arms pumping faster and faster. Once you get to the top, continue on increasing your speed as much as possible.
After each interval, take your pulse rate by counting the number of beats at your wrist or neck for 15 seconds. Multiply that result by four to get your beats per minute. Your next interval should start before your heart rate is less than 60% of your maximum.

The four components of good fitness include flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and cardiorespiratory endurance. For optimum health, include at least two of these groups in three workouts per week.
Your fitness level will improve by overloading, working your body hard enough to stimulate the body, progression, increasing the frequency, intensity, and duration of exercise over time, and regularity, working out frequently, at least three times a week.
