Burton Gore Mitt - Womens
The Burton Gore Mitt keeps your digits stylishly warm. Let's face it, girls' hands are usually colder than guys'. Just do your own mini-survey on the lift and you'll see. So for girls who find that a mitt provides that extra bit of warmth they need, we offer the Gore Mitt. With the Gore Mitt, you'll get the trusted performance of Gore-Tex with money to spare for other new riding gear. Anna Oksanen, Burton Global Team Rider Jussi Oksanen's sister, had her hand in designing all the women's gloves and mitts, giving them a completely new look with more style flair. The super-breathable Gore-Tex 3-Layer insert acts as a barrier against wind chill and precipitation to keep your hands dry and ward off clammy hands in the sloppiest of snow conditions. We lined the glove with effective, low-bulk Thermacore insulation to keep your hands warm. A removable 4-way stretch liner works seamlessly with the shell to provide warmth options for varying weather conditions. –Vendor

Super waterproof, breathable, comfortable I bought these for my girlfriend for Chistmas and she really likes them. They allow several varying temperature levels - with liners, without liners, shell with small pocket vent, or shell, liners and hand warmer in small pocket of the shell. We were at Mammoth and there was a day where we got over a foot of snow and wind gusts up to 60 MPH, long lift lines, and super cold temperatures. On that day, her fingers were a little cold when we were standing in line, but they warmed up quickly when we starting riding again. That was an extremely cold day when only the Insulator mitts would have worked, but since those gloves would be too warm on most days, the bottom line is these are great all-around gloves that will keep you dry.
Burton Gore Mitts- I can live with the pink because everything else is great! I got the mitts late into the season and used them on a sunny day. I forgot the pipe gloves at home, but the mitts were perfect by themselves. The glove-like fit inside makes it really comfy and warm- but it doesn't get too warm, because you can always open the vents. They were easy to rip off and not a hassle to put back on. Only used them once, but so far, no moisture problems either. Love them!
Warmth At Last!! I have very bad circulation, my hands were frequently numb with only a few minutes of cold. I LOVE these mitts!! They are super insulated and come with great liners (good for running). If they make MY hands warm I would recommend these to anyone!

Training Tips
Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising. If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.
Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.

Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
