Burton AK Glove - Mens
The Burton AK Glove is the true leader in glove technology. The AK Glove is the only fully taped Gore-Tex XCR 3-layer shell on the planet. The Burton AK Glove is the true leader in glove technology. The AK Glove is the only fully taped Gore-Tex XCR 3-layer shell on the planet. Fully taped seams seal stitch holes, creating a waterproof seam that prevents moisture from sneaking in and refrigerating your fingers. For ‘05 we completely redesigned the glove to have only one articulating seam for an overall cleaner look. This reduces the amount of seam tape, which increases the breathable surface area of the fabric and creates a better hand-feel for increased dexterity. The Malden Mills Polartec fleece liner, reinforced with PrimaLoft insulation on the back of your hand, allows you to ride comfortably all day in the harshest conditions. The palm is protected with the incredible abrasion resistance of the Rodeo AK leather palm for grip that won’t quit. Highly breathable, waterproof and warm, it doesn’t get much better than this.-Vendor

Best glove ever I was thinking for a while: to buy or not buy this glove! So I did and I must say: once you try it you will know where that extra money went!
Beautifully made hard core gloves NOT for skiing These are incredibly well made and detailed gloves. They are definitely not designed with the skier in mind. The interior of each finger is padded in such a way to shape the hand in a partial fist (protectively for the snowboarder). The padding makes it difficult to hold a ski pole comfortably, AND the seam on the interior of the thumb necessitates effort to flex one's thumb.
Little pricey, well worth your money. I was drawn to these gloves because of the Brand (burton is about as good as it gets) and for the Goretex shell and 3 layers of protection. Out on my first ride I became very impressed as the wind was blowing and the temp was well below freezing, and I didn't even have to use the bottom layer!!! YOu would have to be an arctic adventurer to use these babies to their full potential. Thanks to Backcountry for their excellent selection and service.

Training Tips
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.

An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
One of the most mentally toughening things you can do as a runner who trains daily is to add a morning run into your routine. This means you are doing two runs a day. The morning run is simply more of a mental challenge then anything else.
