Black Diamond Powerstretch Glove

The Black Diamond Powerstretch Glove is great for super mild conditions or for frigid winter conditions when used in a component system with a shell glove. Made of Polartec Powerstretch fabric, this glove is quick drying, soft on the hand, and stretchy to give wearers a close fit without binding. Perfect for the crazy things we do on rock and ice! The sticky leather palm is both water-resistant and great for gripping ski poles or piolets. Versatile, lightweight, and dexterous, this “liner” glove will surely become one of your favorite backcountry partners.

Black Diamond Powerstretch Gloves
These are great gloves. I wanted a glove that A. Could be worn under my shell glove in 20-30 degree weather (Current liners were too warm for skiing/snowshoeing). B. Would at least resist snow and wind if worn alone. These gloves fit that description. The powerstretch wicks like magic, keeping hands dry on the way down the mountain and therefore warm on the lift ride back up. They offer great feel, and you can do almost anything with them on (type, change cd in car, etc). Wind and dry snow stay outside, but prolonged snowball fights, snowman building, etc will make them soak through. The great "sticky" surface of the leather palm loses it's stick the first time they get wet. Overall the gloves are warm and well made.

Great Glove
I am a police officer and have a hard time finding a glove that is both warm, comfortable yet thin enough to perform simple tasks like writing a report with the glove on. The powerstretch glove is all of these. I really have enjoyed the glove and will not hesitate to tell others about it.

Love These Gloves!
Best glove I've had in a while. The windstopper combined with the snug, easy fit is awesome. I wanted something that could be worn in snow, rain, cold and ice...and these do the job. Works great for a liner or on it's own, so i stay warm and wet free! I highly recommend these to anyone looking for an all around glove for all around activities.

This is a simple and perfect glove!
I needed something flexible, and something that fit my long fingers, for warmth during riding my bicycle and during camping/hiking. I think I might still need another glove for climbing around on rocks, and a cover for this shell if I were planning to touch snow, but for what it is it is fantastic: simple, thin. I can still do things that need precise finger motions, and warm - and they fit! I'd buy my next gloves from this brand, too.

Better than expected
Kept hands warm in strong, cold winds, but then did not get too hot during warm sunny conditions during aerobic activities. Better than expected.

Training Tips

Low weight, high rep circuit training combines the best of both worlds: aerobic and anaerobic training.  Keeping the rest time in between high repeats low excercises like bench press, leg presses, inclined sit-ups, and upright rows is the key to maximum benefits.

As a long distance runner, a gradual increase in distance each week will allow you to build a solid areobic base.  Distance increase should be no more than 10% of the previous week's distance.

When buying a new pair of running shoes, bring your old ones with you.  You will get a better fit if you know if you supinate or pronate.

Heart monitors are useful for knowing when you are in the right zone for your training efforts.  If you understand what your maximum heart rate is, you can set up your monitor to beep at you when you exceed the high or low range of your heart rate for the type of workout you are doing.
