Black Diamond Dry Tool Glove

Originally designed to meet the unique needs of modern mixed climbers, the Black Diamond Dry Tool glove has quickly proven to be an awesome glove for any activity. Wear it touring, ice climbing, while digging a pit. Four-way stretch Schoeller Extreme-WB fabric and polyurethane membrane make for an extremely dexterous, weatherproof glove. The outer shell fabric is burly as well as highly water resistant, and the inner plush lining is soft and warm. A rugged Pittards goatskin palm provides the vice for gripping cold ice tools, and has been treated with Amoratan for added durability. Get a pair not only for your recreational pursuits, but for everyday use in winter—its versatility will not go unappreciated.

Dry tool gloves
At first I was a bit hesitant about spending .00 on a pair of mid-weight gloves. Then I tried them for everything from walking my dog in 20 degree weather to belaying at the local crags early in the morning and they have been the best pair of gloves yet. The grip allows for almost perfect grip and dexterity when handling ropes or attaching a leash, while keeping your hands warm in windy and frigid conditions. I still have yet to see how well they hold up with ice climbing, but I don’t think it will change my decision. Mick

good work glove
This is a highly functional glove. Softshell technology allows excellent dexterity and decent warmth and water repellency. Not a cold weather glove, but an excellent choice for ski tours, snowpit work, and moderate to mild temperatures.

Training Tips

Did you know that to lose approximately one pound of fat, an average adult would have to walk 30 miles? You don't have to walk those 30 miles all at once.

If you consume 100 calories a day more than you need, you will gain about 10 pounds in a year.  A reasonable combination of diet and exercise can help control your weight.  The key is to balance your caloric intake with the amount of exercise.

You can increase your maximum oxygen consumption by approximately 15% when you work out three times a week for at least 30 minutes at 70% of your maximum heart rate.

Low weight, high rep circuit training combines the best of both worlds: aerobic and anaerobic training.  Keeping the rest time in between high repeats low excercises like bench press, leg presses, inclined sit-ups, and upright rows is the key to maximum benefits.
