Fischer RCS Skate Cut Plus Ski

The winningest ski in modern Nordic racing, the Fischer RCS SkateCut Plus’ high-graphite base glides over warm or cruddy snow like nobody’s business. For the RCS SkateCut Plus, Fischer combines the most advanced base materials available; you’ll be V2’ing past your opponents in a blur. Fischer’s SkateCut system maximizes the under-foot edge’s contact with the snow, where your power is used most efficiently. SpeedTip and SpeedTail construction removes unnecessary material in tip and tail, which dramatically reducing the swing weight of the ski and facilitating quick turns and maneuvers. Key tweaks in the RCS's weight profile reduce the oscillating wobble that aggressive high speed skating causes so you can go harder and faster stably. Carbon fiber strips along the top and bottom and Aircore construction make the RCS super light without sacrificing stiffness so you’ll get the most out of every push.

Training Tips

You can increase your maximum oxygen consumption by approximately 15% when you work out three times a week for at least 30 minutes at 70% of your maximum heart rate.

Low weight, high rep circuit training combines the best of both worlds: aerobic and anaerobic training.  Keeping the rest time in between high repeats low excercises like bench press, leg presses, inclined sit-ups, and upright rows is the key to maximum benefits.

As a long distance runner, a gradual increase in distance each week will allow you to build a solid areobic base.  Distance increase should be no more than 10% of the previous week's distance.

When buying a new pair of running shoes, bring your old ones with you.  You will get a better fit if you know if you supinate or pronate.
