Fischer Outtabounds Crown Ski
|
The Fischer Outtabounds Crown ski is a true Nordic hybrid ski. Fischer’s Turning Crown system gives you the traction you need on the uphill without hosing up your turns on the downhill. The Outtabounds’ wide dimensions give it superb float in powder, and Snowshocks extend from the mounting zone to help dampen vibration. The Outtabounds is happiest mounted with a light telemark rig, like a 3-pin and cable binding, and will perform admirably on the flats, up the hills and down the other side. Perfect for hut trips, the Outtabounds crown’s built-in kick will drive your friends nuts as you run circles around them while they mess with skins. If you want maximum versatility without swapping out skis and gear all day, the Outtabounds crown will do it all.

This beast is best If you don't mind a little extra workout on your backcountry escape, this ski is great! Fischer makes quality equipment, and this is no exception. This is not a light backcountry ski; it is a solid, full-on backcountry ski. It's a lotta ski for some serious excursions into the out there.
fisher outabounds I have been skiing this ski for two yeas with old Voile cable bindings and stiff leather boots. This is a great all around set up and will handle green to blue runs at ski areas and anything in the back country.
Built for speed Nice backcountry ski. This is the fastest waxless around. It could climb better, but made for those who like speed on the levels and hills.

Training Tips
Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require. This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.

If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
