Crazy Workout for those who don't care

So, you're interested in getting in good shape. If you're like me, you don't have a lot of time to spend monkeying around. One of the best workouts I have found includes sprinting uphill.

Find a hill. Spend a few minutes warming up with five to ten minutes a light jogging with, 5 to 10 minutes so stretching. When you are ready, start the first interval. So, for the first interval up the hill, sprint like mad for about 30 seconds. If you make it to the top of the hill in 30 seconds, the hill ss too short. No, seriously, with you do is for the first sprint, you are trying to gauge how much effort you can put in so you'll make it through five intervals.

Starting with the second sprint up the hill, go as fast as you can, running like mad pumping your arms up and down as fast you can possibly go. What this does do is get your heart rate elevated quickly. Plus, pumping your arms hard gets your legs go to - it's no surprise they go hand in hand.

The third sprint up the hill is where it gets really interesting. If you are at all shy, you're not going to want to have anybody watching what you do next. The third up hill sprint is done on all four legs. In this case you have two legs and two arms. Have you ever seen a bear run, they don't trot around on two legs. You are the bear for this one sprint, so run like one. This is the crux of the whole workout, your muscles should be screaming at you.

Before I forget, make sure you are just about fully recovered before starting the next interval. Get your heart rate down, drink some water, walk around, do whatever.

So, the fourth sprint up the hill involves running backwards. This will take some balance and coordination on your part. By the time you get back to the bottom of the hill, your legs and especially your calves he should be pretty darn tired.

Finally, the last sprint you do is you to be an all-out run straight to the top, balls to the wall, no holding back. If you're not whimpering by the time you get to the top and your heart's not pounding and your lungs aren't scorched, you didn't run hard enough.

Now, if this workout sounds silly to you, don't do it. But if you're serious about getting in good shape than take a chance to do a workout like this. Remember, this is the type of workout that get you in good shape and a very short amount of time.
