Kelty Trident

If you want a highly functional two-liter hydration pack but don't need to lug the kitchen sink around, the Kelty Trident fits the bill. Made of abrasion-resistant ripstop and Kodra nylon and featuring a padded, wicking backpanel and a webbing waistbelt for a secure fit, the Trident suits a range of activities, from mountain biking to paddling, skiing to trail running, motorcycling to inline skating. Padded shoulder straps enhance comfort. Kelty's Durabag technology makes the Trident Sasquatch-proof, and its durability will keep it around for ages. Blinker light loop and reflective accents promote visibility and safety for early morning or evening runs. A taste-free polyethylene reservoir with an anti-microbial coating means today's water won't taste like last month's Gatorade, while eliminating breeding grounds for freaky biological experiments.

nice gear on the slope
I got the Kelty backpack a couple of weeks ago, have already took it to the slope on my last two ski trips in the lake Tahoe area. It works very well, and pretty easy to clean and refill. I am completely satisfied with the pack, and will recommend it to anyone who is considering to get one, either for ski or for hiking.

Training Tips

As your fitness improves over time by following a carefully planned fitness program, your ability to exercise closer to your maximum heart rate will improve.

Did you know that to lose approximately one pound of fat, an average adult would have to walk 30 miles? You don't have to walk those 30 miles all at once.

If you consume 100 calories a day more than you need, you will gain about 10 pounds in a year.  A reasonable combination of diet and exercise can help control your weight.  The key is to balance your caloric intake with the amount of exercise.

You can increase your maximum oxygen consumption by approximately 15% when you work out three times a week for at least 30 minutes at 70% of your maximum heart rate.
