The best daypack I could find
It has a lot of storage. It surprises me sometimes as to the amount of stuff that it can hold. I am a keen day hiker, and I have taken this pack in to the bush several times. So far it’s been treated roughly and you wouldn’t think it to look at it, but then it's early days yet. The hip belt and the shoulder straps are extremely comfortable. If you want something that fits you like a glove and something that will let you lug around heavy loads without bothering you to much, buy this. It looks great, there is no doubting that, I have the ink/blue jean version and it looks very smart. There are perhaps too many compartments, and if you fill it up to much it gets very bulky, but then you can have it every which way can you? Verdict- love it!

Awesome Backpack!
I bought this pack because my old one was falling apart, and I wanted a good all-purpose replacement. This pack has delivered!! I can't say enough good things about it. The two main pouches are more than large enough to fit everything I need, and the compartmentalized smaller pouches are very convenient and allow me to keep small odds and ends organized. The pouch for a Camelbak is a very nice feature. All in all, I give this backpack a 10 out of 10!

A very good buy
This is an excellent backpack for capacity and comfort. It will swallow almost anything you load it with and still have ample space remaining. The feature set is mindblowing: Jansport literally thought of everything. As for comfort, this bag makes the heaviest loads seem weightless. Excellent padding and ergonomics allow the bag to perfectly fit your form, resulting in easy and comfortable wear. The only caveat is that there are so many compartments that you can literally lose sizeable items in the bag. Also, the zippers have a tendency to get stuck by running into the liner fabric of the bag. The latter problem is easily solved by gently pulling radially outwards on the zipper as you operate it. Otherwise, don't hesitate to snap this item up if you have the money. It's expensive, but it's worth it.

Great! backpack
This thing is very versatile. I commute to work every day by bike and can carry everything I need. It's also great for day trips. It expands and collapses nicely. The H2O compartment, glow-in-the-dark zipper pulls, and rain flaps are nice features. Only potential drawback is too many chambers. I sometimes find it hard to locate things in the pack. Some reflective material would be nice too. Overall, it's great.

Great Bang for the Buck
This bag is holding up beautifully to the Wisconsin weather and UW Madison campus. The only "problem" is that I have more compartments that I know what to put in them. If this Jansport is anything like the last one I had, I'll be using it for many years to come.

Training Tips

When buying a new pair of running shoes, bring your old ones with you.  You will get a better fit if you know if you supinate or pronate.

Heart monitors are useful for knowing when you are in the right zone for your training efforts.  If you understand what your maximum heart rate is, you can set up your monitor to beep at you when you exceed the high or low range of your heart rate for the type of workout you are doing.

Cross training gives your body a chance to recover while still exercising.  If yesterday has a hard run day up and down hills, then today's bicycle ride gives your aching knees a well deserved break.

Anaeroic threshold is when lactic acid starts to build up in your body as your muscles are not getting the oxygen they require.  This threshold is typically expressed as a percentage of your VO2 max - the amount of oxygen per kilogram of weight that a person can use in converting fuel to energy. Elite athletes threshold might be as high as 90% of VO2 max.
