CamelBak Rim Runner Hydration Pack

The CamelBak Rim Runner combines smart style with tremendous functionality. On the trail or in the city, it's the perfect size for multi-season day hikes or hauling gear to the gym. Now it features full-zip back panel access that makes loading a full reservoir easy as pie. Speaking of full reservoir, this puppy holds 100oz (that's 3L!) of water insuring you won't grow parched while out ‘n' about. The Independent Suspension harness keeps the pack stable and balanced throughout the day. An Air Support backpanel and 3D Air Mesh pods keep you cool. A main cargo compartment, exterior pocket, and dual side mesh pockets are perfect for keeping essentials handy. -Vendor

It is not so small!
I love my Rim Runner. I walk long distances and it carries all I need for a day. I walked the coast to coast in Britain carrying: Gore-Tex rain pants, Gore-Tex rain jacket, extra change of clothing, a pair of trainers (sneakers), emergency kit, first aid kit, traveling documents, maps and book, cd player, camera and lots of "I can't live without" little things. Walking poles tied to the back. A full 100 oz. water, snacks and a very big lunch that included four apples! It is a wonderful day pack! The side pockets are great for map and GPS holding. The only thing is that it is a little too long for my short torso, so I use a rolled towel around the neck to adjust it. It works very well.

Versatile, great bag
The Rim Runner is always on my back! I use it in the mornings when I cycle (fill the 3L bladder and go!) or during the day at work. The pack has multiple pockets and distributes the weight really well. I rode 100 miles around Lake Tahoe with it, I was glad I had it. You can fill the bag up with gear or scrunch it down and just carry water.

Camelbak Rim Runner
Hydration system works just as advertised and pack also holds my day stuff just like I needed.

Excellent
I couldn't be happier with the pack. The way the pack is set-up is great in regards to storage and quick access. I thought that it might not be big enough at first, but my first trip with it proved me wrong. It is the perfect size for fast-packing, and is very comfortable. Tested in the Adirondacks and proved to be an excellent choice.

nice pack
Good product. Holds plenty of stuff and water for long day hikes in the desert or peak bagging. Love the external bladder access for refilling.

Training Tips

Did you know that to lose approximately one pound of fat, an average adult would have to walk 30 miles? You don't have to walk those 30 miles all at once.

If you consume 100 calories a day more than you need, you will gain about 10 pounds in a year.  A reasonable combination of diet and exercise can help control your weight.  The key is to balance your caloric intake with the amount of exercise.

You can increase your maximum oxygen consumption by approximately 15% when you work out three times a week for at least 30 minutes at 70% of your maximum heart rate.

Low weight, high rep circuit training combines the best of both worlds: aerobic and anaerobic training.  Keeping the rest time in between high repeats low excercises like bench press, leg presses, inclined sit-ups, and upright rows is the key to maximum benefits.
