Raza in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park
Bought the Raza for a trip to RMNP in CO. Great pack, lots of room, mesh outside pockets can haul a lot of gear. Very lightweight and very comfortable when loaded. Top loading is unique. I would recommend thinking about what type of use you're considering it for. I day-packed clothing layers camera and misc. If you need quick access to lots of items a panel load pack may be better but for long hikes it's a great pack. The mesh pockets do offer quick access to a lot of smaller items.


Raza is a great day pack
Great pack for all-day stuff, overflow pockets are great, although it is difficult to reach the side pockets without taking off the pack. The top pockets are bigger than you'd think but the ones on the hip belt are small. Handles 20--25lbs and is still comfy...it would be better with Camelbak's plastic frame thingamajig.


Update needed
Camelbak is on the right track with Raza, but it needs an update to include the airflow back now available on many Camelbaks. It also lacks a keyfob, which is standard on other camelbaks (it should be mounted for front access). I was disappointed that the reservoir chamber is only insulated on one side. The front pockets on the waistbelt should be enlarged to accomodate larger items, such as trail maps and small books. An update of this pack should also provide pockets in the large main compartment.


Pretty Good Pack
It's a good pack. It's a duffle bag backpack with a hydration system. Very cool!

Training Tips
