Mt. Lassen
Just wanted to thank you. the experience was great. I got the size wrong but the exchange went smoothly. The Struktura boots are great. Broke them in on a hike up Mount Lassen. The skiing was definitely improved and I can't wait to go up again this weekend. I also look forward to shopping with you again.
More comfortable then my slippers
These are the best boots I've owned. I have size-13 XX wide Fred Flintstone feet. I've had custom insoles, shaved liners, you name it, could never make any boot fit like these fit out of box. They are great on the hike up and reasonably stiff on the ski down.

Training Tips
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.
An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
One of the most mentally toughening things you can do as a runner who trains daily is to add a morning run into your routine. This means you are doing two runs a day. The morning run is simply more of a mental challenge then anything else.
