Garmont Mega Ride G-Fit Alpine Touring Boot
The Garmont Mega Ride G-Fit Alpine Touring Boot may be the best AT boot on the market. It is compatible with both the Dynafit and traditional step-in alpine touring bindings. The Mega Ride comes with a G-Fit High Custom thermo-formable liner which boasts the highest and stiffest fit while sporting a flex panel for touring comfort. The G-Fit liner features a tongue design that maintains the shell's forward lean, is more responsive to forward pressure, and provides better ankle flex than overlap designs. Garmont developed this 4-buckle boot for the aggressive ski mountaineer who wants one boot that satisfies the widest variety of needs. Whether maching turns inbounds, negotiating cliff bands in the backcountry, or on a 7 hour slog to the top of Mt. Shasta the Garmont Mega Ride . NOTE: It is not necessary to custom mold these to your feet but it is recommended for the best possible fit. See your local boot fitter. **SIZING INFORMATION: For a performance fit, choose a full size below your normal shoe size; and for a roomier fit, choose a half size below your shoe size. If you want to be even more precise, do this: Draw an outline of your foot while standing on paper, and measure the outline lengthwise (from heel to big toe) in centimeters. Choose the boot size that is ½ cm greater than your outlined foot for a performance fit, and 1 cm greater for a roomier fit. For example, a foot measuring 27 cm would require a boot size 27.5 (US 9) for a performance fit, and size 28 (US 9.5) for a roomier fit.

Best of all worlds I have telemarked, downhilled, even snowboarded some and these are my favorite boots I have owned in my 31 years of skiing. The custom liner combined with a custom foot bed create a boot that performs and feels like the boot was built just for me. Most people under-estimate the effect of a perfect fitting boot. Forget about the comfort, just imagine that any power you put to the boot is instantly transferred to the ski. If you understand this last statement, you are ready to give up stiffness for comfort and a truly amazing fit.
The best AT boot out there! This boot does it all. It's very lite, has real buckles (no straps that break or get cut), G-fit thermo liner, walk adjustment, easy on/off, is warm, stiff enough, and is even compatible with a Dynafit A/T binding. Need I say more!
love affair First pair I have ever owned where I actually don't want to get out of them at the first opportunity. These boots allow me to rip anything. I mothballed my race boots and now do all of my in and out of bounds in these. They are awesome!
