Salomon Pro Model SC Spaceframe Ski Boot
Salomon's Pro Model SC Spaceframe alpine ski boot takes performance technology to a new level. Hexagonal cut-outs on the shell's outside edge give you more fluid edge-to-edge transitions. Salomon's Spaceframe technology—for skis and boots—centers on a fundamental principle: Excess material is done away with, giving you ultimate lightweight performance. Racing technology has discovered that our modern skiing stance requires a boot with a softer external side to promote faster, more fluid edge changes on harder snow. Boots with stiffer external sides promote edge chatter and vibration, taking away from your skis' performance and stability. This technology also applies when you're charging big powder lines, hop turning down a tight chute, and anywhere it's imperative that you hold a solid edge or need to turn on a dime. So, now you're thinking, “Cut-outs are cool, and I'd like a lighter boot. But what about cold and snow seeping into my liner?” Well, the cut-outs don't go all the way through to the liner. A plastic barrier with a watertight seal keeps moisture away from your tootsies. The Pro Model also features a new heat-moldable My CustomFit Race liner with improved insulation value over past models. Other goodies on the Pro Model include a thicker powerstrap for better leverage and a new Softex upper cuff that resists stretching.
$598.95
Soft/Hard I found the boots a little softer than I expected. Not so great on hardpack but welcome in the powder and bumps.

Training Tips
Efficient running position allows you to run farther and faster. Keep the heel raise to a minimum, relax your upper body and hands, keep your upper body poised and quiet.
If you want to make progess in your training, join a running group. A commitment to meet on a regular basis with a group of like minded individuals will help you keep your focus.

An efficient long distance running stride will have you landing on your heal first and rolling to the front of your toes.
One of the most mentally toughening things you can do as a runner who trains daily is to add a morning run into your routine. This means you are doing two runs a day. The morning run is simply more of a mental challenge then anything else.
