Black Diamond Oval Carabiner
Big wall vets swear by Ovals since their smooth shape prevents carabiner "shift" when easing into dicey placements. A favorite since their invention by Raffi Bedayn in 1949, Ovals are great for racking a set of Stoppers or other gear. Weighs in at 62 g (2.19 oz).
$4.93
Perfect all-around clip and not too pricy! I use these things kayaking, hiking, camping, everything! The oval is the very nicest biner to hold onto tightly, and for that purpose I use these for my rope ascents together with the Petzl tibloc ascender. They are super durable, and rather bulky so you know you're not going to kill them using them for somewhat stupid things (lifting an engine out of a Ford Escort for example). Great basic biner.
order Very fiendly staff and super easy to order and get updates on orders. Will order many times in the future from you foks. Thanks for making it so easy.
Oval, the only way to go! I own a ton of these! Doesn't matter whether I'm clipping gear to a raft on a river trip, securing a load to the top of my car, or racking up for a long day of Trad climbing, the Oval biner is always totally handy.

Training Tips
After each interval, take your pulse rate by counting the number of beats at your wrist or neck for 15 seconds. Multiply that result by four to get your beats per minute. Your next interval should start before your heart rate is less than 60% of your maximum.
The four components of good fitness include flexibility, muscular endurance, muscular strength, and cardiorespiratory endurance. For optimum health, include at least two of these groups in three workouts per week.

Your fitness level will improve by overloading, working your body hard enough to stimulate the body, progression, increasing the frequency, intensity, and duration of exercise over time, and regularity, working out frequently, at least three times a week.
As your fitness improves over time by following a carefully planned fitness program, your ability to exercise closer to your maximum heart rate will improve.
